My name is Johan de Groot. By profession I am an Architect. Therefore I studied Building Engineering and Technical Business Management and received my Master’s degree in Architecture in 2007.
On this website I show you a selection of my recent porfolio. The displayed projects include study assignments as done at the Academy of Architecture in Groningen / The Netherlands, some projects from my time at MAD architecten, drawings for LYVR and my work at DAAD architecten. Besides this everyday design and drawing practice this portfolio includes architectural adventures in Eastern Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia, voluntary projects in which I cooperated as an architect. These organizations are founded by world changers who are pro-active amidst of their sphere in which people are facing poverty, disease, shortages and a lack of (good) housing.
